Life is about the ups and downs. It’s easy to be up when you’re up, but harder to be up when you’re down. We had a very ordinary day on the race course today. No matter what we did, we just couldn’t get it right. It seems that this was happening to lots of people. They’ve all found sailing at Woollhara a real challenge and whilst this is some consolation, it doesn’t detract from the fact that the top five boats still manage to get it right even when they have their moments of down. Rob and Nicole Douglas managed to break a hiking strap off the start line causing them to fall back into the pack and they still clawed their way back to a very respectable finish. The cream does rise to the top. I guess we just have to get creamier!! The sailing gods are just testing the resolve of Alistair and myself. We will prevail. I just hope it’s sooner rather than later. It was great seeing Ooogy Wawa kick some butt today. Well done Stu and Nicole!

On the plus side, Denise not only managed to make up her mind about our new couches, but she also made an executive decision today and chose some cushions to go with them. Tracey made us a sensational lunch that we munched as we sailed to the start. Sensational. See, it wasn’t all bad.

Tomorrow is a whole new day.
